Shana’s Guardian by Sue Lyndon
Review by Adaline Raine
I want to start off by saying I adore Sue and her books. I love the ideas that she comes up with, especially her female characters who are usually a mix of sensuality, innocence, and a little bit rebellious.
Shana crumbled as soon as Daman made his intent to marry her clear. She went from worrying about being home on time and wanting to please him as she remembered past punishments to a completely submissive slave. It seemed like her spark left.
I know why with the unusually harsh punishments that were dealt and I had a hard time connecting with Uncle Daman after he over does the one before he is to leave town. I had thought that Shana was going to be tempted to leave the settlement as she had done earlier but such a collaboration of implements and punishment prior was too much for me.
Despite this I read this story in just under two hours and wished there had been a little more to it. I was not disappointed in the length, I just had been hoping for more to do with Shana’s friends and their escape plans because there was a lot of focus on that.
Overall, I did enjoy the alternate punishment that Shana received very early on in the book. I will hint only that it contains a thermometer and is one of the hottest scenes that I have EVER read. Sue has slipped in a thermometer scene in several of her books (pun intended -so hot) and it does not disappoint. It was done in a very dominating manner and Shana is in a very submissive mindset as it is being done.
Their intimacy is also very well written both before and after the wedding. Though before was more of Daman’s torment that he could not have full access to his little niece. I also have to mention that I thought it may be creepy to have her call him ‘Uncle’ but they were not related by blood and you come to see that it is more of a title of respect. The town does not bat an eye either as we were led to believe so perhaps a lot of it is more in Shana’s mind then actually in the eyes of the town.
I must also state that you get so wrapped up in Shana and Daman’s relationship that part of you forgets that they are living in a post apocalyptic type world where solar flares destroyed all modern day comforts. The setting gives the feel that you are reading a book from back in early colonial times though Shana mentions that one of the older women in her settlement talks of cell phones, computers, and other technology. It is very easy to get wrapped up in her world without questioning the origin. Very nicely done!
Even with Daman’s very firm hands and slightly rough ideas of punishment I have decided to give Shana’s Guardian five stars!

I already have Sue Lyndon’s next title lined up, Rules of War. I admit I have a very long ‘to be read’ list but am definitely looking forward to it.
Does Spanking Ms. Whitman delve into any deep political or social issues? No. Does it probe the nuances of a long term domestic discipline relationship? No.
What I particularly liked about this book was the way that Kate Richards had the reader focused on spanking on every page. I read it with a squirmy-what’s-going-to-happen-next warmth in my belly.Sure, I want to explore important social issues. Some of the time. Mostly I read for fun and escape and that’s what this book provides.
The story itself only includes two or three actual spankings, but throughout the story Mona Whitman or her boss, Randolph
Marks, is fantasizing, imagining or remembering what they did or would like to do with the other. This keeps spanking front and center, so to speak, throughout the story.
As the book opens, Ms. Whitman is pleasuring herself with her battery operated boyfriend plus fantasies of her hunky boss spanking her naughty behind. The early morning session causes her to be late for work…again. Mr. Marks, the owner of the company (and subject of her early morning fantasy), calls her into his office to discuss her habitual tardiness. I don’t want to give away any of the spoilers, but I think it’s safe to mention that there’s some spanking.
What makes this book especially pleasurable is the anticipation. There’s no slip-slap-slop across the lap and off you go. Oh no. Ms. Whitman (and the reader) is left to anticipate, fantasize and squirm wondering what might happen next and when it does happen, no one is disappointed.
I give this one 5 stars and two pairs of moist panties.

A sequel to Under his Roof, Rachel and David return in this smexy spanking story. In this new installment, a couple of conflicts arise between personal and professional for David. How does Rachel and David work these issues out?
Ms. Quinn continues with a great job of showing how a domestic discipline relationship can work. The reader is treated to marked improvements in Rachel’s behavior. In addition, the reader sees it’s not all about David with his iron fist, doling out brutal spankings. There is true give and take in this relationship and it’s beautiful to witness.
The spanking scenes doled out are hot even when they are not erotic ones. It’s clear Ms. Quinn is showcasing all sorts of reason why a spanking would be meted out. It’s nice to see the variety of reason as well as implements. What stays consistent is David’s calm reassuring demeanor. He is definitely a devoted disciplinary with “life coaching” qualities. There are many people in this world who would easily benefit from a bit of his coaching.
This sequel is a lovely happily ever after for Rachel and David despite the bumps in the road. The amount of spanking is light to moderate. I confess I tend to be fan of spanking so there is never a case of too much spanking in a story for me. This book is recommended to spanking fetishes who dream of a domestic discipline relationship.
Review by Adaline Raine
Two of my favorite authors have penned a book together, Lords and Ladies. I can tell you for certain, though both authors are a pleasure alone, two in one book was off the chart. Both stories are the perfect mix of discipline and sexual tension culminating in extremely hot sex scenes that were both romantic and sensual and naughty at the same time.
Under Siege is a story of a woman who has been left a widow and is doing the best to take care of her castle all by herself with several older knights also trying to protect their Lady. The castle, as well as Lady Camilla, is in great need of being taken care of and Sir Barlen rides in to do just that. Renee Rose does a fantastic job of not letting Sir Balen grow too fond of the Lady despite her attitude and need to do everything herself for he believes her to be a married woman. After several trips over his muscled thighs Lady Camilla begins to have feelings, the sort of feelings she has not thought about anyone in a long time, and eventually concedes that she may want him to stick around. I will not give away a spoiler but keep in mind you may never view a quiver quite the same way again! The ending can be guessed from the happily ever after that the genre is famous for, but there are twists that leave you wondering how it will all play out. Extremely well written and very hot.
Quite Decided was literally so hot that I could not put my ipad down once I started to read it. Korey Mae Johnson wrapped me right up in Wenda’s tale and fear of being wed to a man over five decades older than she. Her plan is mischievous and light hear ted until Lord Talus tells her that he will not marry her and that she is to honor the plan of marrying the much, much, MUCH, older Count. Talus recalls how much time the two spent growing up together and how tender he has been with her all of her life. Wenda, now distraught and unstable comes up with and enacts a plan so awful that she is lucky the outcome plays in her favor. She literally deserves to be thrown out of the town on her arse and labeled many unsavory titles. I can not say much more or risk giving away the tale, but literally I feared at one point that her bottom would remain red and blistered until the day that she takes her last breath. Easily caught up in their story and would love to see more about these two. Korey is an incredible story-teller and I look forward to her next release.
Five star rating hands down!
