Loving His China Doll by Leigh Smith

Review by Laurel Lasky

This was an amazing story about a young woman diagnosed with hysterical blindness due to a past traumatic event. She has learned to be self sufficient with the help of her St. Bernard, Benji. A young man asked if she would allow him to lease some of her land for organic farming. A relationship develops.

The insights into her character are awesome and her young man shows growth and maturity. There are some unexpected twists and turns. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it for readers who enjoy romance with mild spanking–both erotic and punishment–and sweet sex.

Tucker’s Justice by Maggie Carpenter – Sweet, Sexy & Suspenseful

Review by Jane Henry

When hardened gunslinger Tucker Prescott is tasked with bringing law and order back to a town overrun by a gang of criminals, he quickly realizes that his biggest challenge won’t be the villainous McGill brothers. The one who will truly put him to the test is Dolly Baker, the beautiful, feisty twenty-two-year-old daughter of the man who hired him.

From the moment she barges into his cabin uninvited, Tucker knows Dolly is going to be trouble, and it isn’t long before she tests his patience one time too many and earns herself a sound spanking. The embarrassing chastisement gets her attention, but it will take quite a bit more than a few smacks on the bottom to teach her obedience, and the more he sees of Dolly, the more Tucker is forced to admit that he would love to be the man to properly tame her.

Tucker didn’t come to Spring Junction to keep a woman in line, however, he came to deal with the McGill brothers and their gang. He has a plan to do just that, but it will depend on his quick wits as much as his quick draw, and despite his best efforts Tucker can’t get Dolly off his mind. Can he bring the outlaws to justice and make her his bride before she drives him to distraction?

Tucker’s Justice is a sweet, sexy story with plenty of action, suspense, and a powerful sub-plot that draws the reader in.

Tucker Prescott is a man on a mission: to restore justice and peace to the little town of  Spring Junction. He will not be swayed or distracted, and from the get-go he proves himself a no-nonsense, law-enforcing cowboy. Little does he know that the feisty, headstrong, but lovely Dolly Baker may prove to be a match for his highhanded ways.

When they first meet, Dolly is sassy and Tucker is not amused.

“You don’t know anything,” she snapped, staring at him, challenge in her bright blue eyes. “I’m tougher than I look!”

“How tough are you gonna feel when you’re over my knee getting’ a good spankin’? That’d be your first taste of Tucker’s Justice. You wanna give it a try?”

Dolly is outwardly affronted, but inwardly drawn to the stern cowboy, and as the story plays out, the attraction to one another grows.

The story revolves around the McGill brothers, and how they hold the town of Spring Junction hostage with their lawlessness and cruelty. Tucker will have none of it, and hatches an elaborate, (and fairly entertaining!) plan to bring down the gang. The town rallies in his favor, eager to be rid of the men who bring chaos and fear.

As his plan unfolds, however, there is one major distraction: Dolly. She will not sit idly by while danger threatens her town; nor will she hide her attraction to Tucker. Though he is attracted to her himself, he doesn’t put up with her sass for one minute – something she rather likes.

“Go back to the house. I swear if you stand in front of me one more minute, I’ll be throwin’ you on that heap of hay and rippin’ that dress off you.”

“In that case, I’m not moving from this spot,”she twinkled.

“Do I need to remind you what happens when you don’t do as you’re told?”

“It’ll be worth it,”she whispered, amazed how he’d suddenly sounded like a gentleman again. How could he be both rough and refined? Her tummy flipped. She absolutely loved it.

“Not if I use a hard stick, it won’t.”

“I don’t see any hard sticks in here,”she said airily, enjoying her sassy game.

“You might be right, but there’s always my gun belt. I’ll take out my pistol and bullets, fold it in half, and-”

“NO!”she exclaimed, her demeanor quickly changing. “You wouldn’t spank me with a belt, would you?”

“You don’t wanna test me,”he said sternly, then looking into her blue eyes, his face softened. “Maybe not this time, but if I think you deserved it, you bet I’d whip your ass with my belt…”

And he would. Even as the innocent bystander, I had no doubt he would!

The majority of this story focuses on Tucker’s methods of bringing down the lawless gang, while he falls hopelessly in love with Dolly. The story was funny, sweet, and sexy. If you like a real story with your spanking, an unabashed dominant hero and headstrong heroine, this one is for you!

Her Drill Sergeant Dom by Katherine Deane – A Fast-Paced Suspense Thriller

Review by Laurel Lasky

Basic training is a killer—in more ways than one.
USA Today bestselling author Katherine Deane brings you a romantic suspense that will leave you gasping.

Twenty-four year old journalist Smyth McCullen is following the trail of a killer, right onto Fort Hancock Army training center. After two murders of young women just out of basic, both under the same drill sergeant, Smyth knows she must join the Army to unravel the truth.

Little does she know that Basic is dangerous in more ways than one. Protecting her battle buddy, working through sixteen hours of grueling training a day, and following a potential bad guy, is nothing compared to falling for a dominant, undercover drill sergeant.

Hunter Jones is undercover, looking into the potential murders under Drill Sergeant Cage’s direction. He’s been through many deployments, both public, and some not so public. He’s interrogated bad guys, fallen behind enemy lines, and is prepared in every way to act as a drill sergeant and save another potential victim. What he’s not prepared for is the sexy, young strawberry blonde who is definitely not eighteen.

As their attraction grows, they march one step closer to the end of the session, and imminent danger. Can Smyth find the killer in time? Can Hunter protect the next target, especially if it’s Smyth?
Lovers of steamy romance, hot military heroes and plucky heroines will adore Katherine Deane’s hot new romantic suspense.

Her Drill Sergeant Dom is intense with many twists and turns. Every time I thought I knew who the bad guy was, it twisted and changed. What a fast-paced suspense thriller! The action was so exciting my heart was pounding and I couldn’t put it down until it finished. The sex was hot, the spanking was erotic fun except when for discipline. The romance was sweet. I highly recommend this book!

Submissive Suffragette by Amelia Smarts

Review by Jane Henry

I waited with bated breath for Submissive Suffragette. I love Amelia Smarts’ books, and I’d read a few excerpts on blog hops. I knew this book featured Carter, who I was head-over-heels in love with from The Unbraiding of Anna Brown. Submissive Suffragette features a younger Carter, who is every bit as dominant, sexy and lovable as I knew him to be.

I *loved* this book. The combination of headstrong, feisty Nalin, an honest, lovable character and her dominant, stern, but loving husband Carter make for amazing chemistry. Amelia Smarts was my introduction to western dd stories, and her books are not only an automatic one-click for me, but are also firmly in my “read over and over” pile.

Submissive Suffragette takes place during the suffragette movement in America, featuring prominent characters straight out of history, such as Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. One thing I loved about this book was the way complex questions were raised and answered. How does one champion for women’s rights, yet still balance the desire to submit to the authority of a strong man? How does a man protect his wife, and lead her, while allowing her the freedom to follow her heart? These questions and more are addressed in this fast-paced, captivating story of love, compromise, heartbreak, and redemption.

Nalin knows she wants to champion for women’s rights, and even goes behind her husband’s back to wear trousers, and attend meetings. Carter is none too impressed, and the book starts off right away with an argument, ironically, over Nalin being punished by Carter. She is working to earn rights for women, yet his stern ways end her belly-down over his lap. She’s torn, and tells him straight off the bat,

“You won’t spank me, Carter,” she repeated.

“Think what you like,” he said. “But you’re getting a spanking when we get home. A right smart one for your willful disobedience.”

Nalin protests, and Carter doesn’t want to strip her of what’s important to her. But as he wearily continues on, they both realize that her submitting to him is exactly what she wants, needs even.To her surprise, his expectation of her obedience makes her happy, and she hates the distance between them. She finally begs him to please take her over his knee, as he always has for disobedience. And he sets her to rights again.

Thus begins this moving, clever conflict that drives this novel. Carter is a traditional man, and desires her obedience, but he loves his headstrong woman. Nalin yearns to see women given the respect they deserve, but loves being taken care of and protected by her husband.

Carter loves who Nalin is.

She had always been a brazen little thing. All of five-foot-one to his six feet, she placed her hands on her hips and glared up at him without hesitation whenever they argued. She spoke her mind, and she spoke it often. Carter admired her pluck. She kept him honest and on his toes. Her sharp tongue and sarcastic wit often made him laugh. Her personality was fierce, but her body was soft and small. His wife was a walking, talking contradiction. He loved her deeply, despite— or perhaps partly because of— her combative spirit.

But he knows she thrives under his stern hand.

Nalin looked into his eyes. “Oh, Carter. You’re such a good man. I need you even though I say a woman shouldn’t need a man.”

“Thank you, darlin’. It sure is nice to hear you say that. And you’re a good woman. I need you too, you know?” He offered her a smile.

Nalin smiled weakly back at him and Carter kissed her forehead again. “Now,” he said, growing stern. “Speaking of needs. A certain young lady needs a spanking, doesn’t she?”

Nalin wants nothing more than to go to the women’s rights convention, and Carter reluctantly agrees. As they travel to the convention, and encounter various situations that challenge where they stand in the movement, they delve down into the issue that’s every bit as important today as it was at the turn of the century.

“By the way, I do believe women should have rights, but men are natural leaders. Women are submissive, or so they should be.”

“I’m not submissive,” she said, trying to convince herself.

Carter laughed heartily and resumed the mild spanking. “You are, honey, though I know you are loathe to admit it. Surely you see the irony in what you just said while enjoying getting your little ass spanked.”

Nalin most definitely saw the irony and had for months. She didn’t know how to respond. She felt confused by her desire to submit to her husband and her desire to be treated as a man’s equal.

Little does he know that he, too, will be pulled into the call to champion for women’s rights, and he becomes a reluctant supporter of their cause. I loved what Nalin said to the women about Carter:

Nalin addressed the suffragettes again. “He’s a good man, but he’s still a man. Bossy and ornery as all get-out, as you can see.” Carter’s eyes twinkled, and he bossed her further. “Come sit at the table, Nalin. Why are you still standing over there like someone might bite you?”

But Nalin and Carter have struggles of their own. They’ve tried for years to have a child, and have suffered many losses. Nalin struggles with her own self worth, not being able to bring a child to term. The two of them push through very real, heartbreaking struggles. As the reader, I smiled along with Nalin’s antics, swooned along with Carter’s unparalleled dominance, and cried with their struggles.

Heavily laced with heart-pounding moments, steamy “over the knee” sessions that are every bit as moving as they are sexy, and heartfelt emotions, this is another “must read” by Amelia Smarts.

From the author:

About the Lone Star Love Series

My latest release is part of my Lone Star Love series with Blushing Books. While writing The Unbraiding of Anna Brown, about lonely widower Carter and sweet, plainspoken Anna who lights his way out of a dark depression, I came to understand the woman Carter was mourning. Carter’s first wife, Nalin, was sharp, feisty, and different from Anna in just about every way. I felt that Nalin and Carter deserved their own story, which led me to write The Submissive Suffragette, Book One in the series. Missy Meets the Marshal (Book Three) is as much an action and adventure story as it is a spanking romance. In it you’ll find villains, bounty hunters, murder, and a conscientious lawman who makes a life-altering choice to follow his heart instead of the law. And while these three books do make up a series, they can each be read and enjoyed as standalones. I hope you enjoy reading these books as much as I enjoyed writing them!

About The Submissive Suffragette

It’s the late 1800s and women are beginning to fight against the accepted roles of submissive housewife and mother. The suffragette movement is gaining ground. Nalin is one of these women. She is a devoted wife to Carter, and desperately longs for motherhood. But she is struggling to balance those desires with her belief that women need to be equal to men, and this starts, to her way of thinking, with the right to vote. She begins defying all the normal conventions – she wears pants instead of skirts to town, she cusses, she talks back to her husband. The consequences of her actions are that Carter takes a firm hand to her backside.

Carter, on the other hand, has always been quite happy with the status quo and is becoming more and more frustrated with Nalin’s constant defiance of all things considered lady-like. He has even come to believe that disciplining his recalcitrant wife is pointless. But her reaction to this declaration confuses them both.

Carter and Nalin both want children, but have so far suffered more than one devastating loss. They are both thrilled when Nalin again becomes pregnant. However, now she’s demanding to attend the suffragette convention in Dallas. Carter loves his wife, so despite his initial reservations, he agrees to see her safely to the convention and back again.

Their adventure takes a few twists and turns along the way. Will this couple safely and successfully navigate their way through these turbulent times and find the happily ever after they both deserve?

Publisher’s Note: This book contains explicit erotic and spanking scenes. If such material offends you, please do not purchase.

About Amelia Smarts

#1 Amazon Bestseller in Historical Erotica and Erotic Westerns!

I’m an author of romance novels featuring domestic discipline/spanking. Usually my stories involve a cowboy, and they always involve a man’s firm hand connecting with a woman’s naughty backside. It’s important to me that I tell a good story in addition to portraying hot sex and discipline scenes. I write complex, flawed heroes and heroines who struggle and succeed in their journey to love and happiness.

I hold graduate and undergraduate degrees in creative writing and English, and I love the written word. If you’d like to talk books with me, feel free to drop me a note at amelia_smarts@yahoo.com. Happy reading!

Dancing with a Dom – Katherine Deane Nails This #BBW #BDSM Story

Review by Renee Rose
Katherine Deane took the heat up a notch in her latest book, Dancing with a Dom. Featuring a big bodied woman and a devastingly sexy ballroom dance star and all kinds of consensual domination, this book has it all!

The story was originally featured in the USA Today bestseller Bound, Spanked and Loved, and it’s even better now, because Deane has since added to the story, creating even more sizzle (I’m not kidding– two additional sex scenes!).  :)

The story is told in alternating points of view, with the heroine’s in a wonderfully deep first person, and the hero in third. It makes for an entertaining and rich read, full of laughs, sighs and scorching moments.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a quick sexy D/s read. Totally a summer beach read!

Born to Be Bound by Addison Cain – Your Panties Will Never Be Dry Again

Review by Lee Savino

Born to be bound Is one of my favorite books of 2016. Once I one clicked, I read it four times in as many days, finally kicking it off my kindle so I could get some life done. The writing is addictive, with a fast paced plot, the well-written post-apocalyptic world, the strong heroine Claire. Best of all, there’s a sexy, dominant alpha, anti-hero and fuckmeister, Shepherd.

But know this before you buy: This book is dark.

Claire is an Omega on the run. Omegas are weaker than Alphas or Betas, and go into a strong estrus or heat that attracts the stronger in their species. In this post apocalyptic ruin of a world, an alpha named Shepherd has risen from the ranks of feral prisoners to wreak havoc on Claire’s city. His chaotic and brutal rule sends Omegas like Claire into hiding. But it’s been months and now the hidden Omegas are starving.

So Claire goes to beg Shepherd for help, masking her scent and hiding her identity as an Omega. Her plan doesn’t work, though, because in the middle of his gang of Alphas, she goes into heat. To save her life, and satiate his own Alpha need, Shepherd claims her as his own.

And he fucks her. Again and again, and against Claire’s rational will, but not her body’s or natural instincts. As hard as she tried to fight it, everything in Claire’s nature wants to be claimed and bred by this alpha’s Alpha. In each scene, Claire tries to fight her own desire, and then ends up giving into Shepherd.
Claire is young and idealistic, the antithesis of the scarred and ruthless alpha, but Shepherd is realistic where she is naive. They are perfect opposites and their natural conflict makes their estrus-induced fucking even hotter. Shepherd keeps Claire her captive, giving her everything she needs, including the hard fucking her body craves.
I rooted for the anti hero, Shepherd the whole way through. He forces Claire to confront her true nature, he keeps her captive (and safe), and even though he manipulates her and takes away her choices…as a reader I felt he had a good reason to do all the things he did to Claire, even though she wasn’t on board with them. There’s a strong non-consensual theme here, but it’s pulled off so well I (as an avid reader of non-consent/reluctance themed romance) enjoyed the heck out of the power exchange.
The world building in this book is skillfully done, and the sex scenes are beyond amazing and balance the intense plot. Book one ends with a cliff hanger that leaves me hungry for book two but still satisfied.
This is a heavy, dark, non consent erotica at its best. It is not a sweet little fairy tale romance, and if you expect that it will leave you cringing and curled up in a ball, crying for your mommy. Don’t read Born to Be Bound unless you want a story that is a dark and brutal and beautiful in its intensity. There are sweet moments too be sure (especially when that alpha starts to purr) but Shepherd has ulterior motives and both he and Claire are trying to use each other. Only their lust is pure.
Bottom line: if you like darker reads and are okay with growly, scary awesome alphas who exert dominance whether their true mate likes it or not, buy this book. Read it, love it, rave over it, but in four days you may have to delete it off your kindle, or your panties will never be dry again.
Don’t say you weren’t warned. ;)

Wren’s Redemption by Katherine Deane – An Engaging Love Story

Review by Leigh Smith

The story Wren’s Redemption by Katherine Deane begins with Wren Montgomery trying to make a comeback in the gymnastics world after an injury. She is her own worst enemy and her Physical Therapist recommends another coach/trainer to help her make a comeback. She learns that it is Jonathon Reilly, the one person she doesn’t want around.

Wren is a feisty young girl with a heart of gold.  Her mouth and sassiness make her the ‘bad girl’ of the gymnast world.  Jonathon Reilly, who once coached Wren’s team and who she blames for her ‘fall from grace’, is a totally committed coach and the one man who can bring her back to her full potential – if she will only let him.

You can’t help but fall in love with Wren and Jonathon.  Katherine Dean’s character development makes you feel Wren’s grit and rebelliousness and Jonathon’s commitment to the sport and to Wren Montgomery. So many of Wren’s antics are relatable they made me giggle, wince and cheer her on even when I knew they wouldn’t end well.  Jonathon’s ability to ‘take her in hand’ will make you green with envy

Make no mistake, this is a love story and one that will keep you engaged from beginning to end.

Bound by Casey McKay – A Demanding but Thoughtful Dom and a Bit of Intrigue

Buy now on Amazon

Review by Renee Rose

Erotic romance author Casey McKay has hit her stride with her new BDSM series. Bound, the third in the series, is a wonderful story about a romance in motion. Melissa has been dating Martin, the owner of an exclusive BDSM club for ten years. Despite their incredible chemistry, she’s still running scared–certain he’s going to break up with her at every turn and resistant to his continued suggestion of marriage.

So many romance stories are about new love. I think it can be harder to write about a couple who already have history, but McKay handles it well. She introduces external conflict, in the form of a stalking photographer who brings up PTSD in Melissa, who had been forced into sexual slavery in her early twenties. The internal conflict revolves around the heroine’s own sense of self-worth related to her past, which causes her to continually push Martin away.

Martin is a perfect dom– a blend stern and unyielding while they’re “in scene,” tender and caring when they’re not. And yet the couple’s relationship is a 24/7 Dominant/submissive relationship, which means the lines between scene and no scene are blurred.

I want to share with you the opening scene, which begins with Melissa not being able to sleep and trying to initiate sex with Martin in the middle of the night. I immediately fell in love with Martin after reading this scene:

Martin looked down at her, but judgment seemed to be the furthest thing from his mind. A look of concern crossed his features as he blinked out of his foggy haze. “I’m telling you it’s time to sleep.”

“I can’t.” It was a plea, the closest thing to a whine that would ever cross her lips.

“So you’re disobeying me?” His face darkened.

She almost argued with him, her chest tightening that he was disappointed with her. She wasn’t disobeying him, but she couldn’t make herself fall asleep. Then she realized why he was asking. “Yes,” she agreed.

“Hands,” he barked.

Melissa stretched her arms over her head and wrapped her hands around the wrought iron headboard. Martin secured her wrists in the handcuffs that permanently hung there. Something was already slipping into place, making her feel calm and he’d barely touched her. She was already nude, having shucked her clothes before attempting to seduce him. He rose from the bed, just a pair of boxer briefs clinging to his body.

Martin opened the closet door and rustled around before coming back to her. “Up.” He motioned for her to lift her legs in the air as he doubled over his belt.

She barely held back a groan. He could have at least left her hands free if he was going to force her to hold her legs up. But she had asked for this, beggars couldn’t be choosers. She promised herself she’d skip yoga in the morning, her core would be getting a workout tonight.

“Keep them up, or you’ll get extra,” he warned.

Bastard. He already knew she’d never be able to keep them raised the whole time. He did this on purpose. She wanted to call him names, but at the same time liquid gushed between her thighs. He knew exactly what she needed. And that was the very thing that was keeping her awake. “Yes, Master,” she murmured when he seemed to be waiting for a response.

His lips tilted up in the slightest of smirks, then he raised the belt and cracked it down across her ass.

Fire. Fire lit up her skin. She forgot to breathe. She barely could anyway with the angle her legs were in. The belt cracked again and she let out a shriek, her breath whooshing from her body as the second line of fire burned across her ass. The third one came quickly and she bucked her hips. Pulling on the restraints and twisting to the side. She rested on one hip and thrashed, the edges of the cuffs biting into her skin.

“Up.” Martin sat back on his heels, waiting patiently with the belt in his hand for her to get back in position.

It took another few seconds, forcing air in and out of her lungs before she rolled back and raised her legs again.

“What do you say?” He raised an eyebrow at her and waited.

It was their signal. He was asking her what she wanted to do. If she told him to stop now, he would—no questions asked. “More, please.”

He pushed her legs back further, wrapping his hand around the back of one knee. The stretch was uncomfortable, but his hand there meant she couldn’t move again, she felt grateful for it. “Three more, those you were already getting,” he explained. “Then the extra.”

“Thank you, Master.” She bit her lip as he swung the belt at full force. It jarred her, pushing her up the mattress despite his hold on her.

He swung again.

Her ass felt like one big, giant welt. A throbbing mass of pain. It shot right to her core.

Two more in quick succession and she hissed a curse out between her teeth.

“Almost done,” Martin assured her as he rubbed the leather over her abraded skin. He lifted the belt, adjusted his aim, and then swung.

She bucked her hips and pushed against him with her legs when the belt smacked her upper thighs. “Wait!” she yelled.

He lashed her again, in the same exact spot, not heeding her cry. But then he threw the belt to the floor.

She heaved out a sigh as he lowered her legs.

“Open up, buttercup.” He winked at her as he shoved his underwear down his hips.

Yum, right?  The entire book has this sensitivity the push and pull of play vs. real life, dominance and caring. I recommend every book in this series–they just keep getting better and better!  If you enjoy your BDSM with a thoughtful but demanding dom, hot scenes and a taste of intrigue, Bound is the book for you!

Marshal’s Law by Maddie Taylor: a huge tapestry of delights

It’s hard to imagine a more entertaining reading experience for a spanko than a book by Maddie Taylor, and
Marshal’s Law may stand as one of her crowning achievements in that regard. One part Back to the Future (a debt Ms. Taylor acknowledges slily in the book), one part Silverado, and one part pure alpha-male spanking romance (Aaron, the hero, is literally described as looking exactly like Joe Manganiello), Marshal’s Law gives a Maddie Taylor fan a huge tapestry of delights.

The plot’s engine is the accidental time-travel of its heroine, Janelle, from 2013 to 1878. It’s an ideal set-up from a spanko perspective, because of course in 1878, in Wyoming, a man just had to spank his wife to keep her safe. Janelle, of course, has always been a closet spanko, so when she’s forced to marry Aaron to keep from being committed, she is inexperienced in the ways of domestic discipline, but can also see their value, especially coming from a man like Aaron. Ms. Taylor provides plot by the yard, and the story keeps coming, with a series of delightful time-travel plot twists at the end that provide a lovely, touching conclusion when the curtain is finally drawn.

Most important of all, especially after Janelle and Aaron are married, the spankings and sex keep coming, and Ms. Taylor as usual shows that she can keep new things coming for her heroines, as, with a firm but also a gentle, hand, their heroes guide them in the ways of pleasing a dominant man. My sole unanswered wish for the book was that the “relationship talk” be a little more 1878-accurate, though perhaps I am merely projecting my ideas about what I think 1878 was like. Ms. Taylor writes Janelle and Aaron’s conversations as modern DD discussion, which seems natural coming from Janelle, but when Aaron says, “Like you, I am new to marriage, and I have a lot to learn about being a husband,” it may just be me, but it doesn’t sound like the way an 1878 Wyoming alpha-male husband would talk.

Marshal’s Law will be a supremely fun reading experience for anyone who likes marshals in the Old West who have hands firm enough to guide 21st century spankos.[rating=5]

Caroline’s Rocking Horse by Emily Tilton: unashamedly erotic from start to finish

Caroline, a professor of English, and her corporate attorney husband, George, are a happy couple in that they love and respect one another, but any physical aspect to their marriage, only semi satisfactory in the first place has long fizzled out.

Caroline has her own naughty, secret world; A fantasy boarding school, with a very strict headmaster who is more than capable of keeping errant young girls under his control, with corporal punishment and humiliating sexual punishments. Caroline’s needs are met in her mind and by her own hand with the aid of some explicit Victorian reading material, until one day George happens upon her reading her erotica and self-pleasuring.

Following her cues, George spanks her for her deviant, selfish behaviour and Caroline confesses to her darkest desires, to be both disciplined and loved by her Daddy (ie her husband) for her inner naughty little girl.

Whether writing in her unique Victorian voice or in her contemporary voice, Emily Tilton is an incredible writer. She adds a richness of lyrics and imagery to the hottest, naughtiest erotica in a way that will literally leave you panting and wriggling in your seat.

Caroline’s Rocking Horse stunned me as age play is something I can be very ambiguous about. But the way Ms Tilton captured the voice of both the little girl, and the rational, intelligent woman behind it leaves the reader in no doubt that Caroline, while loving her fantasy world and losing herself in it completely at times, is completely adult and enjoys adult behaviours, completely removed my reservations and permitted, no demanded, that I lose myself in the eroticism of the book. I think it’s probably one of the most intensely erotic books I have ever read.

I should say that there isn’t a deeply involved story lest the reader be disappointed, but it’s unashamedly erotic from start to finish, and culminates in a very nice HEA.
