Review by Jane Henry
When hardened gunslinger Tucker Prescott is tasked with bringing law and order back to a town overrun by a gang of criminals, he quickly realizes that his biggest challenge won’t be the villainous McGill brothers. The one who will truly put him to the test is Dolly Baker, the beautiful, feisty twenty-two-year-old daughter of the man who hired him.
From the moment she barges into his cabin uninvited, Tucker knows Dolly is going to be trouble, and it isn’t long before she tests his patience one time too many and earns herself a sound spanking. The embarrassing chastisement gets her attention, but it will take quite a bit more than a few smacks on the bottom to teach her obedience, and the more he sees of Dolly, the more Tucker is forced to admit that he would love to be the man to properly tame her.
Tucker didn’t come to Spring Junction to keep a woman in line, however, he came to deal with the McGill brothers and their gang. He has a plan to do just that, but it will depend on his quick wits as much as his quick draw, and despite his best efforts Tucker can’t get Dolly off his mind. Can he bring the outlaws to justice and make her his bride before she drives him to distraction?
Tucker’s Justice is a sweet, sexy story with plenty of action, suspense, and a powerful sub-plot that draws the reader in.
Tucker Prescott is a man on a mission: to restore justice and peace to the little town of Spring Junction. He will not be swayed or distracted, and from the get-go he proves himself a no-nonsense, law-enforcing cowboy. Little does he know that the feisty, headstrong, but lovely Dolly Baker may prove to be a match for his highhanded ways.
When they first meet, Dolly is sassy and Tucker is not amused.
“You don’t know anything,” she snapped, staring at him, challenge in her bright blue eyes. “I’m tougher than I look!”
“How tough are you gonna feel when you’re over my knee getting’ a good spankin’? That’d be your first taste of Tucker’s Justice. You wanna give it a try?”
Dolly is outwardly affronted, but inwardly drawn to the stern cowboy, and as the story plays out, the attraction to one another grows.
The story revolves around the McGill brothers, and how they hold the town of Spring Junction hostage with their lawlessness and cruelty. Tucker will have none of it, and hatches an elaborate, (and fairly entertaining!) plan to bring down the gang. The town rallies in his favor, eager to be rid of the men who bring chaos and fear.
As his plan unfolds, however, there is one major distraction: Dolly. She will not sit idly by while danger threatens her town; nor will she hide her attraction to Tucker. Though he is attracted to her himself, he doesn’t put up with her sass for one minute – something she rather likes.
“Go back to the house. I swear if you stand in front of me one more minute, I’ll be throwin’ you on that heap of hay and rippin’ that dress off you.”
“In that case, I’m not moving from this spot,”she twinkled.
“Do I need to remind you what happens when you don’t do as you’re told?”
“It’ll be worth it,”she whispered, amazed how he’d suddenly sounded like a gentleman again. How could he be both rough and refined? Her tummy flipped. She absolutely loved it.
“Not if I use a hard stick, it won’t.”
“I don’t see any hard sticks in here,”she said airily, enjoying her sassy game.
“You might be right, but there’s always my gun belt. I’ll take out my pistol and bullets, fold it in half, and-”
“NO!”she exclaimed, her demeanor quickly changing. “You wouldn’t spank me with a belt, would you?”
“You don’t wanna test me,”he said sternly, then looking into her blue eyes, his face softened. “Maybe not this time, but if I think you deserved it, you bet I’d whip your ass with my belt…”
And he would. Even as the innocent bystander, I had no doubt he would!
The majority of this story focuses on Tucker’s methods of bringing down the lawless gang, while he falls hopelessly in love with Dolly. The story was funny, sweet, and sexy. If you like a real story with your spanking, an unabashed dominant hero and headstrong heroine, this one is for you!
